I wish they used screws, rather than adhesive pads, to mount the fan to the bracket that snaps onto the heat sink. Installation leaflet is extremely confusing, and I can see how a first time user of this type of mounting bracket could have a difficult time installing it and end up very frustrated. Since the fan came pre-mounted so that it blows through the heat sink, I decided that it would be best to leave it in that configuration and just deal with the interference with my memory slot. The only other option is to flip the fan around and mount it on the other side of the heat sink such that it sucks air through the heat sink and blows it into your rear case exhaust fan. Turning the cooler such that the fan blows towards the top of the case causes the heat sink to cover the memory slot, permanently preventing access to that memory slot.
